General conditions 2018

General information
The 7th Föhr-Marathon 2018 is organised by “Föhr Marathon e.V.” and will take place on Sunday March 25th 2018 in D-25938 Midlum.

Closing time finish
3.00 p.m.
Marathon participants must have reached the half marathon mark until 12.15 p.m., otherwise they have to withdraw from the race at this point and will be classified for the half marathon.

Marathon: 18 years (year of birth 2000)

Online registration
The registration will only be binding after bank transfer of the entry fee; bank account data will be transferred with the confirmation e-mail.

Late registration
Late registration will be possible on the race weekend for marathon, half marathon and late riser half marathon as long as the participation limit has not been reached. Late registration for the marathon relay is not possible.

Bibs / start numbers
Will be handed out either on Saturday March 24
th 2017 from 4.00 p.m. to 6 p.m. or on Sunday March 25th 2018 from 8 a.m. (Primary School Midlum)

Refreshment points:
Every 5 k, K 5, 10 and 15 water and tea, from K 20 additionally fruits, from K 25 additionally Coke.

Male and female competitors according to the age categories of Deutscher Leichtathletikverband (DLV).
Participants, who were originally registered for the marathon, but wish to withdraw from the race at the half marathon mark, will be classified for the half marathon.

Finisher medal / certificate
All participants reaching the finish line receive a finisher medal. Certificates can be printed out from March 26
th 2018 on

The first three finishers of all competitions will be honoured (male / female / relay)

Liability of the organiser towards participants, spectators or third parties is excluded. If a participant does not start or if the event has to be cancelled or interrupted due to circumstances of force majeure entry fees will not be refunded.

We are willing to refund the entry fee in case of timely cancellation – i.e. before closing the registration -, in this case we will charge a service fee of € 5,00.

Due to extreme weather conditions and in order to protect the participants the organiser may be forced to reduce the course length or make other modifications; a reduction of entry fees in this case is excluded.

The organiser is in no way liable for health risks of any participants connected to partaking in a running event. It is the participant's duty to check his/her level of health and fitness. Upon collecting the start number the participant bindingly declares that there are no health-related concerns with respect to his/her participation in the event.

By sending the registration the participant agrees, that his personal data are stored and processed to implement and carry out the event. The participant agrees to the publication of his/her first and second name, year of birth, club, race number and results (placing and timing). The participant agrees to the publication and distribution of photos, videos etc. recorded in conjunction with his/her participation in this event.

On March 25th 2018 a ferry from Dagebüll-Mole to Wyk auf Föhr will travel at about 7.20 a.m. Free bus transfer of participants and accompanying persons from Wyk Harbour to the start area in Midlum at about 8.20 a.m.

After Race Dinner:
As in the years before we organise an after race dinner in the evening on March 25th 2018 in the restaurant “Midlumer Krog” in Midlum. The registration for the after race dinner can take place together with the race registration or later separately per e-mail. The organisation fee for after race dinner is € 18,00 for adults, € 9,00 for juveniles up to 16 years, children up to 10 years are free; drinks are not included. The after race dinner fee has to be paid in advance.
